Ikea Love

Last weekend I made the trek to Ikea in Philly with my sister-in-law and some friends and what a fun day we had!

I can never resist that store! It calls my name!!

Here are a few goodies I got...

A set of hooks for the front entrance...

and a wine glass holder for underneath the cabinet...

Topped off the day with lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and roaming the stores at King of Prussia Mall. Glory!

It's a beautiful, warm day outside and I'm busy working on making my flower beds look presentable while the kiddos nap...

Enjoy your week!

Skirt Transformation

I found this adorable skirt at Goodwill last week and just HAD to have it! It was a size 0 and, ahem, let's just say it didn't even begin to fit me!

So I tried to think of a way that I could use it for something else and came up with a summer dress for my Avery.

My mom and I brought in the sides of the skirt and added straps and...

voila! A summer dress is born!

Had a fun little back yard photo shoot in the warm sunshine!

Past week in pictures

A cute purse/diaper bag that I luuuurve...found on clearance at Tarjay.

Little missy peeking out from the "tent" she made out of a blanket and a table.

She was either playing or pooping...probably pooping. She enjoys pooping under tables, in closets, under couches, in corners...anywhere BUT the toilet. So lovely.

She's turning into quite a little artist. I always loved to draw when I was little, so this just makes my day! Here she is drawing mommy and daddy...

And here's my Jack, growing up more and more every day! Gotta love those baby smiles!

Avery with her little cousins and their Easter bags. Their expressions are just so typical! They are turning into the best of friends!

Photo Book

Here is a little photo book that I made for Hubs for his birthday, which was yesterday. Originally, I was going to make it for Valentine's Day but I didn't get it done in time, so I thought it would be a good birthday gift. And he loved it!

I used Shutterfly to make the book and used random pictures of us throughout the last 10 years of our marriage. It's a great little gift idea! Very easy and personal!

My Current Project

So how do you like this beauty of a room?

What's that?

You can't believe your eyes? You want to see more pictures?

Ok, here you go...

Isn't it lovely?

My favorite parts? The 1970's paneling, the tiles on the ceiling, the "vintage" ceiling light, the concrete floor...need I say more?

This strange little room is tucked away up on our second floor and we use it for storage (obviously). And you can tell that my system for storing things is extremely organized and well-thought out. You can call me Martha Stewart. Or Martha for short.

Ha.

Anyway, hubs and I are in the beginning stages of turning this little room into a nursery for our little guy. I know it looks really bad right now, but it can be turned into something really cute without a ton of effort (or cash) on our part. This will give us an extra bedroom upstairs (Jack's current room) which we'll use as a playroom for now.

Hopefully it won't take a lot of time to get it done. That is, if this little guy cooperates and lets me work!
