For those new around here

Thanks to the wonderful world of Pinterest, I've had a lot of new visitors to my little corner of the world in the last few weeks. Welcome!

I thought I would answer some frequent questions that I've been asked lately regarding my sign artwork.

If you would like to see many of the signs I've made, click on this link.

For a tutorial on how I make my signs, click here.

I sell my artwork through my Etsy shop. I only have a few items in the shop right now, because I've mostly been working on custom orders. However, I am planning on making a lot more signs to fill my shop in the next few weeks. Including the popular "Love" signs, the Song of Solomon signs, and the Zephaniah 3:17 signs. Right now I'm not taking new orders for those signs.

Prices on my signs vary depending on the size, type of wood used, and amount of wording.

Because I am {trying} to slow down for the summer, I am accepting a very limited amount of custom orders right now. However, I am planning on accepting more new orders at the end of August/beginning of September. I love to work on custom orders, so if you have an idea for a sign, please contact me at that time, and I'll be happy to work with you!

Around the House

Happy Monday friends!

I had my camera out yesterday and decided to snap {LOTS} of pictures from around the house ~ some of my favorite little spaces.

Most everything from our 1920 house is 1. old  2. second hand (just like my wardrobe) and 3. well-loved by the children and adults of the house (which means it's probably been broken at one time or other).

Not perfect. Not expensive. But pretty and functional. Just the way I like it.

the entry

love my growing collection of old blue/green jars

on the mantel

white pitchers from goodwill ~ who gets rid of lovelies like this??

garden sculpture as bookend ~ it used to be green & i spraypainted it white

photo collage behind the couch

wood letters stuck to the wall with velcro and flowers made from napkins

a very girly space {that i happen to love hanging out in}

my peaceful blue bedroom

little stool that i recently scored at a barn sale

upstairs hallway ~ looking into the nursery

second hand frames & mirrors that i painted white ~ easy wall art

our stair way

by the front door

kitchen shelves filled with pretty white things

book wreath hanging inside the front door

So there you have it ~ a little peek around my house these warm summer days.

Have a great week!

Shop Additions

Happy Monday friends!

I just added a few Zephaniah 3:17 signs in my Etsy shop. They are one of my most popular signs and usually aren't available for very long. I LOVE this verse, and it's spoken to me so many times! As always, I used salvaged barn doors to make them, which makes them unique and one-of-a-kind.

I want to remember these days

I've gotta be honest. This stage of life has been hard for me.

It's physically draining, needing to take care of three little ones. As I type that, I feel really silly because I know that there are lots of women who have many more kids than I do and can handle it just fine. If I feel overwhelmed with my "mommy" job, then I usually also feel guilty for feeling stressed.

 But I do get tired.

Of diapers.

Of getting breakfast ready.

Of cleaning up messes.

Of breaking up fights.

Of giving baths.

BUT.

I am also very much aware that this stage of life will go by so quickly (even though it doesn't feel that way now). And I want to remember these days.

The funny things that kids say.

The good morning hugs from little arms.

The happy giggles and little pretend games they make up.

Soft, smooth cheeks that I want to kiss all day long.

The way Violet shouts "MA MO!!!" when she wants more food.

Watching the kids wrestle with their daddy.

Seeing how Avery takes care of Violet - helps her with her food, gets her out of bed, puts her shoes on.

The every-day normal days where we play outside, read books, and go for walks in the wagon.

All of the hard and tiring things that come along with being a mom have made me very aware of how weak I am in my own strength and how much I need God to help me do this thing called Motherhood.

I just can't do it well on my own. No way.

I don't want to miss the sweet everyday little things about these days. Even though they can be tiring and challenging and long, I am so very thankful for this life that's been given to me.

Have a fun, sunny weekend friends!
