So my little brother just got engaged! Very exciting! And the wedding is in 4 months! I'm going to be helping to coordinate their wedding, which will be really fun. It's always a lot of fun and very rewarding to help plan a wedding for family members and friends. It's cool to be able to hang out with people I know and have a good time at the wedding, as well as do the "work" part of it, too. There isn't much time left, so I'm hoping they can get everything done on time!
I scored some cool things at yard sales this morning! Wahoo! I used to make fun of my mom for going to yard sales, I thought they were so boooring, but now I'm doing the same thing! Funny how that works. Anyway, I got this very cool little table for $2 that I plan on painting...
Yes, another painting project. What color do I go with? I was thinking maybe a light blue/gray, or just plain white, or my trusty pink. Not sure. I suppose I should wait to see where I put it in the house.
I also got this cool wooden bowl for 25 cents that I filled with stones. Yes, there's always room for more decorations...(that was directed at my husband who gave me strict instructions not to buy anything I don't need....uh, guess my needs are different than his! And hey, who pass pass it up for 25 cents!)
And I bought this cute pink storage box that I put on our office bookshelf...
I thought I'd share some pics of my flowers. Some are doing well, some are being eaten by rabbits, but mostly they are surviving so far! But it's only June 1! Hopefully they will survive the summer...
And my little herb container garden...
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
I love your new table! I say paint it a pale shade of robin's egg blue (my answer to everything!). Your flowers look great. I, too, woory if i will be able to keep all my flower baskets alive till the end of summer...the stress!!ReplyDelete
Have fun with it all!
can't wait to see what you do with it! I just picked up a little telephone table for $4 and haven't decided what to do with it yet myself. will post that when it's finished. love your kitchen.ReplyDelete
