Three and a half weeks

and counting till my due date! Over the past few days the little guy has made some major moves and now I'm super-uncomfortable, especially walking and sleeping. However, it means that he is getting ready to finally come out and meet us!

This morning I totally felt like one of "those moms" at the grocery store.

*sigh*

I felt haggard, I moved super-slow, my cart was loaded to the top, my two year old was whining/crying, and I wanted to craw in a hole.

Wow, I never thought that just going grocery shopping would wear me out. But it did.

Someday I will have energy again! Someday.

  1. Just found our blog as I was dong a little research about the Poole Forge covered bridge for my blog. I have three daughters, 13 to 21. Don't worry you will have energy again. Best of luck to you.

  2. You're right - one day! The first little bit will be super hard, but once you find your balance and your own routine - you will find a way to rest, too. And it is SOOOO worth every ache and every sleepless moment!!! If you thought one little one was amazingly wonderful - 2 is out of this world! My youngest will turn 1 on Christmas Eve, and the oldest is 3 - both girls. They have been hugging and kissing lately! AAAAGH - too sweet! I cry every time! What an amazing gift from such an awesome God!

  4. If there is anything I can help you with please ask me!!! I understand the weariness of it all. Yes, things will improve and change, but then again we all will be moms for the rest of our lives and with that comes times of exhaustion. Really, call me anytime and I will help you however I can.

    Love ya!

  5. Oh, Aimee, I cannot believe your due date is so close! When I first *met* you and your sidebar said you were expecting your second child in January, that sounded impossibly far away. Now it is almost here - wow!

Take care of yourself. Let others help you and rest when can.

    Merry Christmas!

  6. Have you gotten to the "Nesting" phase yet? That always super-energized me.

  7. Oh those last days are so hard. Especially difficult when you have a little one to take care of. Take care and rest when you can - I will be thinking of you.

PS Love the dinner exchange idea.
