My friend-in-real-life Janelle (who wears vintage aprons like no one I've ever met) is hosting a fun Springtime giveaway on her blog. Be sure to check it out!
No you are NOT alone ! I can totally relate. My three oldest were born in a 3 years and 2 months time frame. Whenever I sat down I'd have this mental list going through my head, of what all I needed to accomplish that day yet. And if I did sit and relax too long, chances of falling asleep were very likely, then I'd feel almost worse when I awoke. But, they grow so quickly. My oldest is now almost 12, and they can help me so much around the house, and with my 5 and 2 yr old . And I still love those few precious quiet moments when they're in bed and I can actually hear myself think.
ReplyDeleteSo try to relax, (I know it's easier said than done) and enjoy life, cause before we know it they'll be grown and on their own, and life will be busy, I'm sure, but probably in a less demanding way. Blessings to you, Gina
I don't have that problem. I like to relax too much. If I don't have a job or a goal or something I'm excited about, I find it's very easy for me to lapse into taking naps and always being tired again. My kids are a little older though, so I have that luxury. Anyway, I love the goodwill/anthro skirt! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFirst let me say, I hope your exhaustion doesn't continue. I'm with your hubby, relax if you can. Much easier said than done. Onto the clothes, trouser jeans really really suit you. Gonna have to wear mine more often. Now go rest!
ReplyDeleteI love your necklace with the flower, too cute! The anthro skirt was a great find!
ReplyDeletei hear ya! it's a search for balance, as is all life right? but perhaps balance is overrated?? *i didn't forget about getting back to you, it fell behind on my "to do" list)! :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the shout out via your lovely blog. your outfits insprie me to get dressed! anthro skirt from goodwill?? i will still make a choice to love you!
Love the Anthro skirt from Goodwill-major score!! I love seeing all of your G-Dub finds!
ReplyDeleteI try to occasionally take a rest when my little one is napping. But I almost always stay up way later than I should. Like you, I love the alone time! After everyone is in bed is when I can work on creative projects. I wouldn't be happy if I didn't have a creative outlet in my life and I can't do it with my precious kiddos underfoot!
ReplyDeletei so get you! i have 5 littles and am busy busy busy,i feel like i have adult add most of the time because i am doing a million things and just cannot relax.I alsom stay awake sooooooo late so i can have some me time after the kids are in bed but before i know it,it is 4 am and i have only a couple hours of sleep which is usualy interupted because i have a newborn...uggh tired just talking about it:) I just have to say your style is absolutly gorgeous, every single thing you wear i drool over.I have zero style sense but you make it look so effortless i love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the cream/white and green outfit. What great finds you have made!
ReplyDeletelove outfit #2- that cream jacket is awesome!
ReplyDeleteSaturday's outfit is FAB! Love the green and cream combo and the pearls are divine!
ReplyDeleteLove the last outfit!
ReplyDeleteAimee, you just described my life to a tee also and that is exactly what my hubby says to me. I think that this syndrome fits into the category of being an overachiever and a determined woman. The only way to do things you want to do is to not relax or stay up late. It is worth it to me b/c that is how I am wired. I refuse to give up ALL of my things and that is what makes me tick.
ReplyDeleteI try to find a few minutes to sit and read a magazine or something in the afternoon b/c I find that does help me at the end of the day.
Hang in there! Let things go when you can.
LOVE the Anthro skirt (and that whole outfit!) what a find!!
ReplyDeleteHaha - my husband is always on my case, particularly with the staying up too late thing. I agree, so many days I swear I don't even sit down (I even eat standing up because if I sit, then the second my backside hits the chair one of the kids throws their fork or asks for juice). I feel ready to drop by 6pm, but then the kids finally get to bed around 8pm, and I want ME time, so I stay up till midnight.
ReplyDeleteI seriously want to move somewhere with a decent Goodwill! Ours are constantly picked over. Would NEVER find anything Anthro at Goodwill.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the green and creme combo, if you would like to link up to Fashion Friday, I would love to have you!
