Happy Friday

Whew, it's been a busy week.
I've been working on the new studio, which involved lots of painting this week. Here's what it looks like right now.

We decided to refinish the hardware floor instead of painting it, and so we're in the process of sanding it. The wood is so beautiful, that I'm thinking of not staining it and just putting a protective finish on it.

What do you think? Should we let it natural or stain it? Any opinions?

With my website launch on Wednesday, I sold half of my inventory in the first two days, which means lots of shipping in the next few days. THANK YOU to everyone who has been so supportive of my little shop! The journey has been so amazing. Now I need to get busy making more things to keep it stocked!

Just wanted to share this canvas art that you can find in my Etsy shop.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  4. I love the wood floors :)
I have learned so much from your sign tutorials and have used many of your techniques to create my own signs. I love this new one you posted "It is well with my soul". How did you paint your letters? Just black paint with sanding afterwards?? It almost looks like a crayon! Love the look!
Thanks for your willingness to "teach" others!! It is appreciated!

    1. To paint those letters, I just used a paint brush and lightly painted them. They look like they are sanded but actually are just painted very lightly. Thanks for your comment!!

  5. Natural looks fabulous the first year or so. At work I always recommend a light stain to keep it from turning yellow - that's for furniture. For the floor you may be okay.
