What is it about having a baby that makes me want to clean and organize the entire house from attic to basement?
I lie awake at night thinking about cleaning out my kitchen cabinets and organizing my laundry room and purging the attic.
So dumb.
As if the baby cares whether the house is in tip-top shape. But I care!
Unfortunately, right now life is too busy to spend much time working on the house, so for now I will continue to think about those dumb little things as I prop myself on pillows and try to get comfortable in my bed at night.

On a completely separate note, weddings are in the air for us this weekend! I am coordinating a wedding today for a friend and tomorrow hubs' nephew is getting married.
Two weddings in one weekend = lots of good food, maybe some tears, and some really great times with family and friends!
Wish us luck! And happy weekend everyone! :)

Isn't it funny how we all go through that phase in our pregnancy. I think partly because we want to bring the baby home to the best senario possible (a clean organized home) and at the same time realize we aren't going to have a lot of time for cleaning once the baby arrives. I don't know about you, but I preferred napping to cleaning while the baby slept!! Have fun this weekend, and enjoy all of that yummy food.
ReplyDeleteI was showing Matt my fabric and telling him all my plans for the living room, he just looked at me and said, "You must be nesting". I just glared at him and walked away. : ) Have fun at your weddings...hope to see you Saturday night!
ReplyDeleteI really don't know what the nesting instinct is all about, but I certainly had it. If you get yours done and want to do more, come on over :)!
ReplyDeleteI scrubbed my house from top to bottom the whole time I was pregnant. Now,6 months after the baby was born, my house has been a wreck ever since!
ReplyDeleteI was very relieved to know that the first pantry was not one that depicted your own. It just would have been too much, and I would have had to confess my covetousness at your extreme decorating on a dime/neat home with small children/perfectly charming craftiness YET AGAIN. But tonight, I can read your blog without visiting the High Priest afterwards. ;)
ReplyDelete(Oh, the confessions are my problem, but I sure am truly inspired by your giftings!!!)
Warmly,
Jeane`
Pardon me: I meant to write 'first pantry PICTURE'.
ReplyDeleteJust the name of your blog sold me !! lol ... but I can see you ideas will be keep me coming back.
