Big News!

I'm
sick
and
tired
and
UTTERLY THRILLED
about this little person...

I'm due in the beginning of January and almost 3 months into the pregnancy. I can't even describe how excited I am to meet this precious little baby!!

It seems unreal that this is my 4th pregnancy (I've had 2 miscarriages) and, although I've gone through fits of panic and fear, God has given me peace and security. No matter what happens with this pregnancy, I know that He will give us the grace we will need to get through it.

I've been clinging to this...

Phil. 4:6-7 (Message Bible)

Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises
shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know
it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come
and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at
the center of your life.

So, yeah, like I said, I've been SICK and TIRED, but a few weeks ago I started wearing these

and they have worked like magic for me! They aren't exactly chic and I'm still dealing with nausea, but it's not nearly as severe as it had been. Thank goodness!

I'm hoping that in the next several weeks, I will start feeling more like myself again.

And, oh, yeah, the baby bump has definitely already POPPED out. Oh well, it goes with the territory!!

  4. Aimee, that is wonderful news. I am so happy for you. As one who has experienced miscarriage, I know how you feel right now. But I can say that feeling SICK is a good sign! When I got pregnant with my son after a couple of miscarriages, the morning sickness told me this one was a keeper. Oh boy. Bring on the mashed potatoes! Those worked for me. We were forever stopping at a deli so I could tame my cravings and sick tummy.

So happy for you and Avery (and dad!). She is growing up to be a real lovely little girl, I saw her photos on the post earlier...

Blessings to all of you, I know God is watching over this baby and you both will be safe in His hands!

    Congrats...

  9. Yayyy!! I am so happy to hear this news. I have had my fingers crossed for a while now that I would click over to your blog and see this news!!

Take comfort in the fact that you are nauseous. Pregnancy nausea coincides with high levels of HCG (the pregnancy hormone!!) High levels of HCG help sustain the pregnancy. So, try nibbling on plain potato chips (just don't eat too many) to quell the nausea. It helped me a bit, though I'm not sure why!!

Avery is going to make the sweetest big sister!!!
