Here's my latest project and I'm really thrilled with how she turned out!
She's an entertainment center/buffet, and she needed A LOT of scrubbin' and lovin'! I was happy to rescue the poor dear! Here's a before shot.
She looks so sad, doesn't she? All dirty and brown and the handles are falling off...
And here's what she looks like now!
Aaahh, what a couple coats of white paint will do to freshen things up, right?
I considered replacing the handles, but I'm so glad I didn't. Don't they just look Frenchy and perfectly shabby? Yes, I think so.
I love how all the details come to life when I distress the edges. It's going into the French Farmhouse, so if you want it in your house, let me know!
Oh, by the way, have you ever visited The Inspired Room? I've been a fan of Melissa's blog for a long time and always get super-inspired when I visit! And she featured me this week! Go check it out!

This is exactly what I need in my dining room...curse you white walls, curse you!!!ReplyDelete
Holy Cow...That looks amazing. I love it!! Kudos to you girlie. I've done a few things but I haven't had a huge transformation like this yet! But I hope too. :)ReplyDelete
Great work! I found your blog from the Inspired Room. I was intrigued and I looked at some of your previous entries. I use to live in Lancaster (and I miss it), so your blog made me "feel at home"!ReplyDelete

Wow, wow, wow!! I love it!! My sister just sent me your blog and I'm excited to follow! I have a very similar buffet to try and repaint with similar handles. How did you distress the handles? It turned out just beautiful! I hope I can try and make mine look half as good! Love all your inspiration.ReplyDelete
Wow, that is amazing! Great job. I have looked at pieces like that before in thrift stores and walk away because all of the varnish scares me.ReplyDelete

This is AMAZING!! Because I also restore furniture, I know the time and love it took to do so! Wonderful job--I just might buy it if I hadn't done one myself. :) Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your kind comment about my chair--you should give it a try! -shaunna :)ReplyDelete
