Hangin with my crew, yo. And some fun shirt embellishments.

This is what we did on a cold, icy day this week when we were sick of being cooped up in the house. We put on hats and gloves and sat in front of the camera and said "cheese!".

Getting a two-year-old little boy to sit still while trying to take his picture can get very tricky.

Literally, you have to be tricky.

It involved letting him pick out his hat and gloves. And tickling him. And bribing him with his favorite food of all time - good old Ritz crackers.

I made these fun monogram shirts for the kids using leftover fabric and some fusable webbing from the craft store.

"V" for Violet. Or for "Very sweet". Take your pick.

Big sister Avery. Who talks about kindergarten pretty much every day. She cannot wait.

You can find a tutorial on these monograms here (my current favorite site, in case you haven't noticed).

Pardon my poor sewing skills.

I had some leftover onesies, so I decided to make a few more designs for Miss V.

There are so many cool things you could do with this technique to embellish clothing!

LOVE. IT.

  1. Oh sweet Aimee, I'm so far behind on my blog roll but wanted to stop at the first one and tell you that I truly love the way you love your family and take the time to be outside playing or spending time indoors reading together. Those are the times heart memories are made ~
