Here are some randoms on a Monday in April...
:: My kids are in love with all things Richard Scarry, especially these DVDs of old shows that I bought from Amazon. The kids never watch TV, so I like to keep DVDs on hand that they enjoy and that don't irritate me. These are really cute and a little bit educational too.
:: My tiny vegetable garden is ready for some planting. I'm all ready to go - just need to put up the fence around it to keep out the bunnies. I mostly just plant stuff for salads like lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and herbs.
:: I found Pam's blog over the weekend and fell in love with Paris all over again. She and her husband and four children moved to Paris last year and she writes about their experiences. What a dream.

:: Someone is taking over my job and I'm not sure how I feel about it. This girl could craft and paint all day long.
:: I am ACHING to paint our family room. After seven years, the yellow is now getting on my nerves and needs to be replaced with a more neutral color (I think I've found the perfect one, but we'll see). If only I could add an extra 24 hrs. into my week. One of these days...and this time, I'll paint when the kids aren't at home so they don't leave footprints on my wall like they did while I was painting the kitchen. Lesson learned.
:: Our traditional after-church lunch on Sundays is pancakes. And it's impossible for me to make them without listening to the French Cafe station on Pandora. It's just the way it is. This is my favorite pancake recipe. They are perfect every time. And I am a maple syrup snob. It has to be the real stuff.
So, there you have it. My deepest, innermost thoughts. Aren't you impressed? Don't answer that...
bonjour aimee! and now i've found you! i am loving jeanne's course..have met so many amazing and creative women through it. and we also listen to french cafe radio here! it's our favorite! xo
ReplyDeletePam! I'm thrilled you said "hello"! Your blog was such an inspiration. We visited Paris about 8 years ago and the city has a very special place in my heart. I can't wait to visit again! Seeing your photos and hearing you speak through Jeanne's website was so fun and brought back lots of memories. Have a great day! :)
DeleteI love the idea of pancakes for Sunday lunch. It's a great way to get the whole family involved and create a tradition. That will always be a part of the "Weaver family culture', your kids will cherish it for years to come!! Dawn Stoltzfus
